Rotaract SRCC — Know About Us

Why Rotaract?

1

Global Network & Institutional Affiliation

Rotaract is part of Rotary International, a 1.4 million member network in over 200 countries. By joining, SRCC students connect with global institutions like the United Nations, WHO, World Bank, and IMF. This isn’t just about attending events; it’s about collaborating, contributing, and co-creating with leaders worldwide.

2

Scholarships, Fellowships & Global Opportunities

Being a Rotaract member opens doors to prestigious, fully funded programs like Rotary Peace Fellowships, Global Grants, and study opportunities at Oxford, Cambridge, and Duke. Many top international scholarship applications even include a section for “Rotaract Experience,” giving SRCC students an advantage. Additionally, there are funded cross-cultural exchanges in Europe, North America, Africa, and Asia that let students live, learn, and work with peers abroad.

3

Skills for Life

Workshops in diplomacy, negotiation, fundraising, and cross-cultural communication, offered by organizations like UNESCO, ICC, and the Red Cross, will give students practical skills that are valuable in careers and life.

4

Leadership Development & Professional Networking

From managing projects to negotiating with sponsors, Rotaract provides students with leadership training in real situations. Collaborating with Harvard Kennedy School’s Executive Education and UNDP can improve governance and policy skills. At the same time, members network with professionals from McKinsey, Goldman Sachs, Google.org, and leading NGOs, blending corporate and social leadership experience.

5

Scalable Social Impact & Flagship Events

Through Rotary’s global funding channels, student ideas can grow into large projects supported by organizations like UNICEF, the Gates Foundation, and the World Food Programme. SRCC can also host high-profile events, from youth diplomacy summits to Nobel laureate lectures, making our campus hub for global policy dialogue.

6

Recognition & Legacy for SRCC

A Rotaract Club at SRCC won’t just be a one-year project; it can become a lasting institution passed down through generations, securing SRCC’s place on the global map as a launchpad for socially responsible, globally connected leaders.
